This pendant is a 7/8 inch solid sterling silver disk which has been granulated for a great texture under the black oxidation. The center stone is a pretty 8mm variscite, surrounded by bits of wire randomly placed.
"Spider Canyon" jumped into my mind immediately when it was done, for reasons unknown to me. I looked this up, and Spider Rock in Canyon de Chelly National Monument on the Navajo Nation in Arizona popped up. I have never visited this beautiful location, and was unaware of its existence.
The story is it is named for Spider Woman, a key figure in Navajo lore - she was the first to weave the web of the universe. She taught the Navajo how to weave, how to create beauty in their own life and to spread the "Beauty Way" teaching of balance within the mind, body & soul.
This is one of two of these pendants I have made so far, I accept the connection and will be making more!
I offer free shipping on all my items, and the item will arrive boxed for gifting. Shipping is USPS first class.
