Peanut Wood is so interesting! It originates in Australia, and is a variety of petrified wood, driftwood to be exact. The "peanuts" really have nothing to do with peanuts, other than they resemble the tasty snack! The pattern you see is the remnants of marine clams using the driftwood for a food source; all this happening during the Cretaceous period of our history.
These beautiful natural stones measure 1 1/4 inches in length, and just shy of 1/4 inch in width. They are hung from copper ear wires, which really accent the stone. The beads are special also - they are hand crafted glass beads, with a lot of depth and beauty. A winning combination!
